The Round of 16 is set after Friday's draw, and fans now know the path their favorite clubs have to take to be crowned Europe's best.

Let's not forget that Carlo Ancelotti's squad faced a forlorn and dilapidated Man City side, unrecognizable from their Champions League glory two seasons ago. Plus, Madrid's defense has been decimated by injury. It will be interesting to see if their injured senior defenders return in time for the Round of 16.
Liverpool was the dominant force during the initial eight-game opening stage and have one of the continent's most well-rounded teams. While that's true, nobody has a front four to match Madrid's.

2025 UCL format changes
