Grammys Song of the Year Odds: Billie Eilish Lapping the Field in Odds Race

Since the Grammy odds were first released, “Birds of a Feather” by Billie Eilish has maintained its status as the favorite to win Song of the Year. Despite the song's status as a healthy favorite, three other songs have odds of +750 or shorter to win.
And while there are four songs nominated with odds of +1300 or longer, they were performed by artists such as Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Post Malone, and Sabrina Carpenter, so it would hardly be shocking to see any of them win. Below I dissect the chances that “Birds of Feather” takes home the Song of the Year Award and which songs are contenders to pull the upset.
The Grammy Awards take place at 8 p.m. ET on
Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The event will be
broadcast live on CBS and it will be live streamed and available on demand on
Paramount+; be sure to check out the latest Grammys odds across every major category.

Song of the Year favorite
"Birds of a Feather," Billie Eilish (-180)
Billie Eilish is looking to take home Song of the Year for the second consecutive year, after winning the award for “What Was I Made For?” in 2024. An artist hasn’t won Song of the Year at back-to-back Grammys since Bette Midler won for “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “From a Distance” in 1990 and 1991.
While there is always a concern that voters may look to spread the wealth, this feels like the best spot for Eilish to win on Grammy night. She’s a big underdog to win Record of the Year for the same song, as “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter is a heavy favorite. And while she opened as the favorite for Album of the Year, Beyonce may be on a dream run with Cowboy Carter as voters try to get her long overdue Album of the Year award.
Song of the Year underdog
"Not Like Us," Kendrick Lamar (+480)
“Not Like Us” has stormed into second position, after opening behind “Good Luck, Babe!” by Chappell Roan. The song by Kendrick Lamar is heavily favored to win Rap Song of the Year, so it would be shocking to see the song go unawarded on Grammy night. But are voters willing to award Kendrick twice for the same song?
To this day, “This is America” by Childish Gambino is the only rap song to win Song of the Year. So for “Not Like Us” to win, it would have to enter largely uncharted territory.
"Good Luck, Babe!," Chappell Roan (+550)
Chappell Roan’s odds of winning this award haven’t changed, but “Good Luck, Babe!” is now the third-favorite after the late surge from “Not Like Us.”
It’s hard to know what to make of this, but the heavy favorite to win Best New Artist has a chance of pulling a somewhat major upset in this category. At the end of the day, “Good Luck, Babe!” seems to be fading while other songs are surging, but if you’re looking for an underdog, this is one of the wagers where the risk would be worth the reward.
My Pick
It seems like this is a two-horse race right now.
Does “Not Like Us” have enough momentum to pull off the upset, especially with Kendrick Lamar performing at the Super Bowl just one week after the Grammys? It might. However, I’m going to play this safe
“Birds of a Feather” has been favored throughout awards season, and Billie Eilish has been incredibly successful at the Grammys. I’m not going to bet against her now.
My Pick: "Birds of a Feather", Billie Eilish (-180)
