Hellebuyck, who leads the way at FanDuel, has gotten off to one of the best starts in NHL history. The reigning Vezina winner is 12-1-0 and already has three shutouts, the NHL's most.
Nipping at his heels is former winner Shesterkin, who has also bolted the door shut on the opposition. However, his stats are noticeably inferior to Hellebuyck's, and he is fortunate not to be trading further behind Winnipeg's ace.
More usual suspects are in the chasing pack, with Andrei Vasilevskiy, Jake Oettinger, and Jeremy Swayman rounding out the top five.

If I were comparing goaltenders to jets, Hellebuyck is the Concorde, with his technical faults coming in the postseason. He's arguably the best regular-season goaltender of a generation, and his stats support that assertion. Once again he has ascended to unrivaled heights, winning 12 of his first 13 starts.
He has the best save percentage (.934) and goals-against average (1.92) of those with at least 10 games. Hellebucyk has the third-most goals saved above expected (8), trailing only Dostal and Cam Talbot. He's also third in wins above replacement.
The 31-year-old is among the 10 Hart Trophy odds favorites and is my Hart Trophy odds player to watch. While more things have to go right than an untrained matador for him to win the Hart Trophy, Hellebuyck is the goaltender to beat where the Vezina is concerned.
Even Shesterkin's stats pale in comparison to Hellebuycks, which is saying something given the Russian's sensational start. Since the first week of the season, Hellebuyck's odds have shortened from +550.

Jake Oettinger (+1000)
Oettinger is quietly and efficiently going about his business. He has allowed two or fewer goals in seven of 11 starts and has the fifth-best GAA (2.39) for those with 10 or more games. His .914 save percentage is tied for eighth with Shesterkin.
The 25-year-old is the backbone of the league's second-best defense. Only the Jets conceded fewer goals per game than the Stars, who, along with the Oilers, have the best odds to represent the Western Conference in the Stanley Cup Final.
His odds have remained stable since the first week of the season, moving marginally from +900 to +1100 at BetMGM. He still offers excellent value, as a winning $10 bet will profit $110.
