Draisaitl is on pace to rival his career-best from two seasons ago. He's on pace for 124 points, which would fall just four below his best. The power forward is doing everything for the Oilers, scoring more points per game than McDavid.
McDavid has played six fewer games than Draisaitl, but the German is averaging 1.51 points per game to McDavid's 1.45. He has 40 goals in 55 games, leading all scorers by seven.
However, his odds are too short for my liking, considering MacKinnon's prolific scoring pace. Throw in the indomitable Connor Hellebuyck, as well. And let's not forget about his teammate and captain, who has fallen off the pace but could return to the front pack as quickly as he penetrates the offensive zone.

Connor Hellebuyck Hart Trophy odds (+350)
Hellebuyck's odds shortened from +4000 to +400 in a month. In the last three weeks, his odds have improved slightly from +400 to +350. Make no mistake, the runaway Vezina Trophy odds favorite is staking his Hart Trophy claim, and he'll be in this race until the end of the regular season.
He leads most statistical categories and is way out in front in wins, while his goals saved above expected are still the best, although Logan Thompson is proving a worthy adversary on that front. Hellebucyk has been our player to watch since the start of the season as his credentials continually get stronger.
He still has his work cut out, especially against previous winners McDavid, MacKinnon, and Draisaitl. But if he keeps on this trajectory, I like the chances of seeing our first goaltender Hart Trophy winner in 10 years.

He's scoring the fourth-most points per game and has his Oilers in pole position, according to the Stanley Cup odds.
McDavid got in some hot water with a three-game suspension and missed a few games due to an ankle injury earlier in the season. But he'll inevitably round into top gear when the Oilers need him the most. Plus, he's playing alongside the Hart Trophy odds favorite. They'll continue to elicit the best from one another.
