With the Browns electing to trade out of the No. 2 pick with the Jacksonville Jaguars last night, the team has plenty of firepower to make some splashy picks on Day 2. Cleveland has the No. 33, No. 36, No. 67, and No. 94 picks tonight, which is a huge reason why the Browns are the favorites to draft Milroe and Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders.
While quarterback is an obvious need for the Browns, it seems unlikely that they'd select Milroe. Sanders is viewed as the more pro-ready option, and with Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco currently slated to battle it out to start for Kevin Stefanski, it's unlikely the team would draft a prospect like Milroe. He has absurd physical tools, but most believe he'll need to sit for at least a year before starting an NFL game.
There's also the factor that Cleveland seems more likely to be focused on accumulating talent after making that blockbuster trade on Thursday night with the Jaguars, rather than forcing a pick just to select a QB. The Browns acquired Jacksonville's first-round pick next year, and they may be comfortable having a down year this season to put themselves in position to select a top-tier QB - such as Heisman Trophy odds favorite Arch Manning - in 2026.
These odds are far too short given that Cleveland is more likely to pick Sanders than Milroe, on top of the fact that the Browns could just ignore the QB position all together.

On the surface, it may seem odd to back the Raiders to select Milroe, given they just traded for Geno Smith and handed him a contract extension. However, that's exactly why this is the ideal landing spot for Milroe. He has all the tools you could want in a franchise QB, but he needs to clean up plenty when it comes to mechanics and accuracy, which is why sitting behind a veteran for two or three seasons is the best case for him.
Smith isn't young either; he's set to turn 35 in October, and realistically, Pete Carroll and John Spytek can't expect him to start for more than three seasons. The Raiders can also get out of Smith's contract a year early, ahead of the 2027 season, if they think Milroe is ready to take over.
From an actual football standpoint, imagine Milroe in the same backfield as No. 6 pick Ashton Jeanty, it would instantly give the Raiders one of the most terrifying run games in the NFL - and he could be used in a Wildcat-like package early in his career. The Alabama QB is considered one of the most gifted running QBs to ever enter the NFL and was sixth in the country in 15-plus-yard runs among QBs last season (12), per PFF.
He's also as good as it gets when it comes to character and leadership; he even won the William V. Campbell Trophy (the academic Heisman) last season. Milroe is the exact type of person Carroll tends to love, and if he and Spytek opt to select Milroe with pick No. 37 or No. 68 tonight, a $10 bet pays a $55 profit.

It's hard to find a team with odds of +1000 or longer to select Milroe at our best sports betting apps. The Seattle Seahawks (+2000) are probably the most realistic option with head coach Mike Macdonald having previously been the Baltimore Ravens' defensive coordinator and knowing how dangerous a mobile QB can be, plus, the team can get out of Sam Darnold's contract after this season. Seattle also has four Day 2 picks.
With that said, a team in the Seahawks' division actually makes more sense, which is why the Los Angeles Rams' odds pay a $90 profit on a $10 winning bet as opposed to the $200 the Seahawks' price pays. But there's reason to believe Sean McVay will look for a developmental QB tonight after the team nearly moved on from 37-year-old Matthew Stafford this offseason.
Stafford has two years left on his contract, so now would be a good time for McVay and Les Snead to find a QB to develop behind him, and who better than Milroe? Imagine what McVay could do with a quarterback with Milroe's athleticism; it would be like when he had to start John Wolford and Bryce Perkins, but attach a turbo booster to their backs and a rocket launcher to their throwing arm.
I'm not convinced the Rams, who are theoretically in win-now mode as Stafford's career winds down, would use the No. 46 pick on Milroe. But if he's there when they pick at No. 90, would McVay and Snead be able to stop themselves?
