The 2025 Super Bowl matchup is set for the Chiefs vs. Eagles to get underway on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome. And you don't need to have all your wagers in before kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET (FOX).

Live betting can be a great way to augment your Super Bowl predictions or even to place your initial bets after seeing how the game plays out first, and each can be a profitable venture in Super Bowl 59.

Our Super Bowl live betting tips focus on specific strategies for live betting the Super Bowl point spread, Over/Under, player props, and a possible comeback. We also offer general Super Bowl live betting strategies.

How to live bet Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl spread

When it comes to live betting on the Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl spread, one must remember that the pregame point spread for the game is Chiefs -1 or -1.5, depending on our best sports betting sites. Some sites have even flipped the script to the Eagles being small favorites.

Oddsmakers tend not to be far off from their pregame projections, so one can likely take advantage of some inflated point spreads depending on how the game plays out early. For example, if the Eagles score the first touchdown, we will likely see them as live favorites.

Exactly three points decided each of the last three Super Bowls, and the only two instances where Super Bowls went to overtime happened within the last eight years.

Eleven of the last 17 Super Bowls have been decided by one possession (eight or fewer points). Thus, barring something drastic like a mid-game injury to a team’s starting quarterback, there would likely be value on the underdog if the live line ever got to double digits.

How to live bet Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl Over/Under

How one live bets the Over/Under in the Super Bowl should depend on which team gets out to an early lead.

If Philadelphia is ahead, it will likely result in a lower scoring game since the Eagles can then utilize their strong ground game more. However, if the Chiefs jump out early, it should result in more of a shootout with Philadelphia taking more chances offensively to keep up.

One key trend to note is the second-half Unders in games involving Kansas City. Over the last two seasons, the second-half Under has cashed 73% of the time (29 of 40 games) in Chiefs games, making them the most profitable team in the league to the Under in that split.

Thus, if the live total at halftime is double (or anywhere near that) of the first-half total, one is likely wiser to bet the second-half Under given the defensive adjustments likely to be made.

How to live bet Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl player props

The game script will play a huge role in deciding the value of Super Bowl player props. Teams that are ahead (especially by more than one score) tend to pass less, which increases the likelihood of inflated statistics from the trailing team’s pass catchers.

One should also remember that this game is played indoors, which is very different from the cold weather environments that the Chiefs and Eagles have played in during their playoff runs so far.

For example, Patrick Mahomes is 14-1 SU in his career in indoor games. And in his lone game in the Caesars Superdome, the site of this year’s Super Bowl, he attempted 47 passes while posting a 3-0 TD-INT ratio.

How to live bet Chiefs vs. Eagles Super Bowl comeback

Mahomes is starting to be known as the “king of the comeback,” as he already has six playoff wins when trailing in the fourth quarter (tied for second-most all-time).

In addition, Mahomes has a four-game winning streak when trailing in the fourth quarter, the longest such streak in NFL history. Thus, do not be surprised to find Kansas City trailing in the final 15 minutes, which would make its live moneyline odds appealing.

Conversely, if Kansas City is leading early, it could be lights out for Philadelphia. The Chiefs have won 29 consecutive games spanning the last three seasons when leading after the first quarter.

To combat that trend, Philadelphia is an impressive 13-7 ATS in both the third and fourth quarters this year.

Super Bowl live betting strategies

  • Fading the public is a winning play over the long haul. For example, 99% of the money at BetMGM is on Saquon Barkley’s Over of 13.5 receiving yards
  • The Eagles have scored first in seven straight games, so I am looking to back Philadelphia to score first at plus-money odds if they defer the opening kickoff
  • Kansas City’s defense has allowed the most yards per target to tight ends, so I am backing Dallas Goedert’s Over on receiving yards if the Eagles get off to a slow start
  • In the 23 Super Bowl instances where the favorite had a spread of four or fewer points, more underdogs have won outright (12) than favorites (11), making Philadelphia’s in-play moneyline odds enticing at the right price
