Bo Nix led his Denver Broncos to another comfortable victory in Week 12, while Jayden Daniels' Washington Commanders fell to the lowly Dallas Cowboys, causing the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds shift to dramatically.

Daniels was still a significant favorite entering Week 12, with his longest odds being -600. However, that price is all the way down to -135 now, with Nix moving from +400 to +175 with another strong performance.

Tight end Brock Bowers follows the duo but at significantly longer odds, and a handful of talented wide receivers are scattered throughout the oddsboard. That group includes Brian Thomas Jr. (+8000), Marvin Harrison Jr. (+10000), Ladd McConkey (+25000), and Malik Nabers (+25000).

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds 2024-25

Here are the latest highlights entering Week 13:

  • Daniels' odds lengthened from -600 to -135 with another loss for his team and a win for Nix and the Broncos
  • Nix's odds have improved from +3000 to +175 since Nov. 7, an implied probability shift from 3.23% to 36.36%
  • Bowers' odds moved from +2500 to +4200, and it's interesting to see how long his odds are despite his dominance. That shows the two quarterbacks at the top are simply in a class of their own

NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year favorite 2024-25

Jayden Daniels (-135)

Now, you can look at this one of two ways.

The first is that it's time to abandon ship. Whether it's the rib injury, poor play-calling, or just natural regression, Daniels hasn't looked nearly as impressive as earlier in the season. Will that change? Well, that brings us to option two.

The other way to look at this is it's the perfect time to buy. Daniels' odds were ridiculous before. In our last update, even when his price had lengthened, a $10 bet resulted in only a $1.67 profit. However, now that same bet results in a profit of $7.41.

So, is it the time to buy? Or do we turn our attention to another contender? Well, that depends on how you feel about Nix.

Bo Nix (+175)

Nix and the Broncos have surprised the football world while going 7-5 thus far, and they own a very respectable plus-62 point differential (better than the Kansas City Chiefs' output).

They're coming off another victory against the Raiders in which Nix threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns.

Nix was essentially puffing up his stats with scrambles for big gains earlier this season, making his box score look much more impressive than it was in truth.

However, he's barely running anymore, as Nix is becoming a much more composed, complete quarterback.

This price shortened from +600 to +175 entering Week 13. And it'll likely shorten even more if Nix leads the Broncos to another victory at home against the Cleveland Browns.

How to bet on NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year

When betting on NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds, find a reputable sportsbook that offers futures bets for this award.

Check out the odds for different players; for example, if Jayden Daniels is at -400 and Caleb Williams is at +950, Daniels is favored to win.

Decide how much you want to wager and place your bet. If you bet $100 on Daniels at -400 and he wins, you’ll get $125 back ($25 profit + $100 stake). Keep an eye on how the rookies perform throughout the season to see how your bet is shaping up.

But remember with odds movement in future markets it's all about performance and perception. If a rookie has a standout game, their odds will improve. Conversely, if they underperform or get injured, their odds will worsen.

Team success can also influence a player's odds; rookies on winning teams might see better odds. Public betting trends are important too - if a lot of people are betting on one player, sportsbooks might adjust the odds to manage their risk.

Expert analysis and predictions also play a role as they can sway public opinion and betting patterns. Understanding these factors can help you make smarter bets and potentially catch favorable odds shifts.

How to read NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds

Reading NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds is straightforward. Odds are usually presented in a format like +500 or -200. Positive odds (e.g., +500) show how much profit you’d make on a $100 bet.

For example, a $100 bet at +500 odds would win you $500, plus your original $100 stake, totaling $600. Negative odds (e.g., -200) indicate how much you need to bet to win $100. So, a $200 bet at -200 odds would win you $100, plus your $200 stake, totaling $300.

These odds also reflect the implied probability of a player winning the award. Lower odds (e.g., +200) suggest a higher likelihood of winning, while higher odds (e.g., +1000) indicate a lower likelihood. Sportsbooks adjust these odds based on factors like player performance, injuries, team success, and betting patterns.

For example, if Jayden Daniels has -400 odds and Caleb Williams has +950 odds, Daniels is considered more likely to win. If you bet $100 on Daniels and he wins, you’d get $125 back ($25 profit + $100 stake). Meanwhile, a winning $100 bet on Williams would return $1,050 in total ($950 profit + $100 stake).

Understanding these odds helps you make informed betting decisions and assess potential returns.
