A week of football seems incomplete without Justin Jefferson scoring a touchdown, and we can feel whole and get it out of the way early with his Minnesota Vikings visiting the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football (8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video). The Vikings sit seventh in the Super Bowl odds.

Jefferson is fifth in receiving yards at 531 entering Week 8, and the three-time Pro Bowler is tied for third leaguewide with five receiving touchdowns. The pass-catcher has scored in all but one of Minnesota's six games, which is why the Justin Jefferson touchdown odds heavily favor him dancing in the end zone again.

But when will that happen? And what's the best Vikings vs. Rams prediction to make that offers the most appealing Jefferson touchdown value?

Best Justin Jefferson touchdown pick vs. Rams

Justin Jefferson to score a first-half touchdown ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: +210 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 32.26%

There should be no shortage of scoring in this game, particularly at the end of the field the Rams are defending. And especially for the position Jefferson plays.

The Rams' defense ranks 25th while giving up 25.7 points per game. And the game total is now hovering around 48 at our best NFL betting sites after moving up from the opening number of 46.5.

There's the expectation of a high-scoring affair then, with the Vikings surely able to lean on Jefferson to exploit a defense that's given up seven touchdowns to wide receivers.

Jefferson should get plenty of opportunities to score given that matchup and the shootout potential. It's easy to see why he's getting the highest touchdown projection of the week at 0.62.

However, Jefferson's anytime touchdown odds are rightfully in minus money at our NFL prop betting sites, and as short as -125 through Caesars. The -115 odds from DraftKings offer minor value, as Pinnacle - home to one of the most respected trading teams in the industry - is offering a Jefferson anytime TD at -124.

Given the high likelihood he'll score with Jefferson generally given the second- or third-shortest anytime TD odds for the game (Pinnacle's price equates to 55.37% probability), embracing a little more risk and narrowing down the half when the wideout will cross the line leads to the more alluring play for your NFL Week 8 predictions.

The spread for this game has moved slightly toward the Rams, falling under the key number of 3 to now sit at 2.5 in the Thursday Night Football odds. But it wouldn't be surprising to see the Vikings focus more on the run if they jump out to even a modest lead. The Rams' defense is putrid on the ground while ranking 30th and giving up 151.7 rushing yards per game.

It's a weakness that could quickly open the door for a game script featuring Jefferson doing any lifting he's needed for early, which is why we're taking him to score in the first half at +210 odds from FanDuel. That's been a common refrain so far this season for the superstar, with four of his five touchdowns coming during the opening half.

Jefferson could be on the other end for one of at least two touchdowns Phil Wood is projecting for the Vikings' quarterback in his Sam Darnold TNF player prop bets. And on the other sideline, Esten McLaren is eyeing another stud wideout to score in his anytime touchdown scorer predictions for Thursday Night Football.
