The first game of our NFL Thanksgiving picks goes down at Ford Field, with kickoff expected for 12:30 p.m. ET (CBS).
Detroit serves as a massive favorite, and our Jared Goff player prop bets anticipate he'll play a massive role in a Lions victory. We're expecting the Lions to cover this 10-point spread with our Bears vs. Lions prediction.
Detroit has the third-lowest passing play percentage (48.85%) this season, which is why we're backing Jahmyr Gibbs so aggressively with our Bears vs. Lions player props.
However, Goff is effective when they do put the ball in the air, owning the second-best completion percentage (72.9%) this year. He also has the highest average in yards per attempt (9.0) and second-highest net yards per passing play (7.9).

Goff is averaging 27.8 pass attempts per game overall this season. That number creeps up to 29 flat at home.
The Lions have thrown the ball on 48.9% of their offensive plays this season. Detroit picks up the pace of their passing attack inside Ford Field, raising that average to 51.7%. The signal-caller has eclipsed this total in three games this season, including two of his last three.
There’s something special about Thanksgiving, though, as Goff is averaging 35.3 pass attempts as the Lions quarterback on the third Thursday in November. He’s topped this mark in each of his last two Thanksgiving games.
Chicago is allowing 30 pass attempts per game on the road this year. Six opposing quarterbacks have hit the Over on this prop against the Bears this season.

Goff has cashed this prop in two of his three Thanksgiving Day appearances, including his 2021 matchup against the Bears.
Chicago is allowing the fifth-most yards per completion (11.3) this season and the most over the last three games (15.1). The Bears have surrendered a pass of at least 37 yards in three of their last five contests.

The Bears' defense has been stingy this season, allowing the third-fewest passing touchdowns per game (0.8). Although, Chicago did just allow Vikings’ quarterback Sam Darnold to complete two touchdown passes last week.
