The Dallas Cowboys will look to win their first home game of the season when they take on the New York Giants on Thanksgiving.

The Giants’ first game with Tommy DeVito under center went as expected, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers blew them out 30-7. How has that performance, mixed with the Cowboys’ upset of the Washington Commanders, impacted the Giants vs. Cowboys early picks and odds?

The spread has already started moving toward the Cowboys, as most of our best sports betting apps favored them by 2.5 points before Sunday’s games. Now, they are favorites of 3.5 or more across the board. Can they win their first game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, when they host the Giants at 4:30 p.m. ET (FOX)?

We elaborated further on this matchup in our Giants vs. Cowboys prediction.

The Giants are completely lost right now. The offense is a disaster and managed just 245 yards last game. Though DeVito ended the game 21-of-31 for 189 yards, most of that success came when the game was well out of reach.

What’s most alarming about the Giants’ performance last week is that it looks like the defense has given up. They allowed 30 points and 450 yards to the Bucs, which is significantly worse than the 22.9 and 342.1 they’re allowing this season.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys ended a five-game skid, scoring 34 points and defeating the Commanders in Washington. They forced three turnovers while only turning the ball over once. Backup QB Cooper Rush recorded his second consecutive solid game, finishing 24-32 for 247 yards and two touchdowns.

The Cowboys’ performance showed that they haven’t given up on this season yet. The Giants have.

I’d take this spread up to seven points, as I expect a blowout.

Moneyline

  • Cowboys best odds: -190 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 65.52%
  • Giants best odds: +170 via Caesars | Implied probability: 37.04%

I love getting the Cowboys under -200, and I’d consider taking this as a standalone bet and adding it to parlays. The Cowboys have yet to win a home game this season, but they’ve only played one team with a losing record at AT&T Stadium.

With how bad the Giants looked last week, this moneyline will cross over -200 before long, as the public has already shown strong support for the favorites. Therefore, if you think the Giants can pull this upset, wait until closer to kickoff, as there’s a good chance the price hits +200.

Spread

  • Cowboys best odds: -3.5 (-115) via BetMGM
  • Giants best odds: +4 (-105) via Caesars

Since the spread opened at 2.5 at our best sportsbooks last week, the public has done nothing but back the Cowboys. At the time of writing, 79% of bettors back the Cowboys to cover, and oddsmakers are adjusting the line accordingly.

Multiple sportsbooks have already moved the spread to four points, and with every major sportsbook already crossing the key number of three, this spread should continue to grow before Thanksgiving. If you want to get in on the Cowboys, you’re unlikely to ever see a spread of three points or lower the rest of the week.

Over/Under

  • Over best odds: 37.5 (-110) via FanDuel
  • Under best odds: 38.5 (-110) via bet365

Despite two backup quarterbacks playing on Thanksgiving, 69% of bettors are backing the Over, which has caused a disparity between the totals listed at our best live betting sites.

FanDuel has the total listed at 37.5, while others have the number set at 38 or 38.5.

Ultimately, I expect the public to keep backing the Over because of the low total and the fact that this game is an island game on Thanksgiving. But the Giants scored only seven points last week, and the Cowboys have struggled with Rush at quarterback.

Wait for this number to climb a little higher, then jump on the Under.
