First Touchdown Scorer Predictions for Sunday Night Football Week 12
The Sunday NFL slate ends with the Philadelphia Eagles (8-2) traveling to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. to take on the Los Angeles Rams (5-5) at 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC).
My first touchdown scorer predictions for Sunday Night Football zero in on two players who have been counted on to score early and score often for their teams - that includes a player we highlighted in our Eagles vs. Rams player props.
The Eagles have scored 31 touchdowns this season, which is part of the reason why we're backing them in our Eagles vs. Rams prediction. And they've scored the first touchdown in all but one of their games so far this year.
As for the Rams, they’ve crossed the goal line 24 times, however, only two of those have counted as the first touchdown of the game.

Eagles first touchdown scorer prediction: Jalen Hurts, QB ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: +600 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 14.29%
Very rarely does a quarterback vulture touchdowns from his running back, but Hurts has already done it 11 times this season. He’s been the first player in the end zone in two games this year.
The veteran signal-caller has the second-most rushing touchdowns in the league behind only Derrick Henry. He is tied with Saquon Barkley for the most red zone carries on the Eagles and both are ranked seventh in the league in that category.
I considered taking Barkley at +420 on FanDuel here, however, it’s been five games since the Rams have allowed a running back to cross the goal line. Instead, I’ll take the extra $18 profit from a $10 bet on Philadelphia’s “brotherly shove,” from close quarters.

Kupp has caught four touchdown passes in his six games since returning from injury. Last week, he found the end zone twice in a win against the New England Patriots.
The Rams receiver has been targeted 39 times over the last four games, which is the most on the team over that span. Despite missing four games this year, Kupp still leads Los Angeles in red zone targets and receptions.
It’s hard to back any Rams player to be the first to cross the goal line given they have only done it twice this season. However, the price is right for the most targeted wideout in Los Angeles with the potential to turn your $10 bet into a $110 profit.
