My first touchdown scorer predictions for Monday Night Football this week feature two running backs who have accounted for most of their team’s scoring and are in a favorable position to do so again this week.
Breaking the ice might take some work in this game. Entering this week, the Rams have scored the game's first touchdown only once this season. The Dolphins have also struggled to find the end zone early, crossing the goal line first in just three games this year.

Dolphins first touchdown scorer prediction: De'Von Achane, RB ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: +650 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 13.33%
Achane is responsible for 42% of Miami’s 12 offensive touchdowns this season. He has two tallies on the ground and three six-point receptions on top of that. Last week, he opened the scoring against the Buffalo Bills.
The second-year back is the clear leader in the Dolphins’ backfield, outsnapping Raheem Mostert nearly 3 to 1. Achane also holds a slight edge in the red zone as well, leading all running backs in both carries and targets inside the 20-yard line.
The Rams have allowed six touchdowns to the running back position this season. They have allowed a running back to cross the goal line for the first touchdown of the game four times this year.
Achane is coming off a two-touchdown performance last week, and I anticipate Miami riding that momentum to an early score, turning your $10 wager into a $65 profit.

Williams has scored the first touchdown for his team in seven of eight games this season in Los Angeles. Only once though, has he found the end zone first in a contest.
There is hardly any question as to whether Williams will score, as he leads the Rams with 10 total touchdowns this season. The matter of when is lowering the confidence level of this pick. Los Angeles has allowed the opposing team to cross the goal line first in all but one of their matchups this season. To no surprise, Williams scored first in that contest.
The Rams running back should have no problems finding the end zone this week against a Miami defense that allows the fifth-most rushing touchdowns per game (1.5) and the fifth-highest rushing touchdown percentage (52.6%).
