Chiefs 1st quarter 3-way ML (+134) ⭐⭐⭐
The Eagles got off to hot starts in their three playoff games.
They’ve scored at least 10 points in each and led every contest at the end of the first quarter. However, those hot starts are a far cry from what the Eagles did when they averaged just 3.6 points in the first quarter throughout the regular season.
The Chiefs finished the regular season tied for 16th in first-quarter points, averaging 4.1. While that might sound like a big difference, a key variable is found on the defensive end. The Eagles gave up an average of 4.5 points in the first quarter during the regular season, while the Chiefs only allowed 3.5.
I expect the Eagles’ recent hot starts to stall in this contest, and the Chiefs should do what they’ve done all season and build an early lead.
And because these two teams were so consistent in their first-quarter play this season, I’ll even take this as a three-way play, meaning a first-quarter tie would represent a loss, but the odds are improved from a two-way line.
Patrick Mahomes Over 0.5 interceptions (+120) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Mahomes got off to a rough start this season, throwing 11 interceptions in his first 10 games. However, he hasn’t thrown a pick in his last eight, which is why the price for this prop is so favorable.
While Mahomes is hot, the Eagles have been one of the best teams at forcing interceptions all season. They’re averaging 0.9 per game throughout the season and playoffs and already have four in the postseason.
Mahomes didn’t throw an interception against the Eagles in the Super Bowl two years ago, but this year’s secondary is better than that unit. Getting this at +120 makes it a valuable addition to this parlay. We highlighted Mahomes in our best passing prop bets for Chiefs vs. Eagles.
Mahomes is one of the headline acts in our Super Bowl 2025 MVP picks and predictions.
Dallas Goedert 6+ receptions (+140) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
While I expect the Eagles to focus on the run on Sunday, I have a lot of faith that Goedert will have a huge game. He’s the Eagles’ leading receiver this postseason, hauling in 15 catches for 188 yards and one touchdown.
Goedert only hauled in six or more catches in two games during the regular season, but he’s about to face the best tight-end matchup in the NFL. The Chiefs ended the regular season allowing 1,191 receiving yards to the position. That was the worst in the NFL. They also gave up 106 receptions to the position, tied for the second most in the league.
Goedert was targeted on eight of Jalen Hurts’ 28 pass attempts in the NFC Championship. And while he was only targeted 10 times in the two games before that one, Hurts also only threw the ball 41 times. What will he do in a great one if he’s getting targeted on 25% of targets in average matchups?
We took a look at the possibility of Goedert hitting the Over on his receiving yards total in our best receiving prop bets for Super Bowl 2025.
