The Denver Broncos (7-5) will look to continue their playoff push when they host the Cleveland Browns (3-8) on Monday Night Football in Week 13.

When making our Browns vs. Broncos early picks, it’s clear that the public loves the Broncos despite the Browns pulling an upset over the Pittsburgh Steelers last Thursday night. Most (73%) of bettors are backing the Broncos as 5.5-point favorites as the two teams prepare for a tilt at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, with a kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN).

Rookie quarterback Bo Nix has been excellent this season, and he’s thrown eight touchdowns and zero interceptions in his last three games. Will his success continue on Monday, or can the Browns pull another upset?

After last week’s win, QB Jameis Winston has now led the Browns to victories over the division-rival Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens. Of course, he also has two losses of 17 or more points, but last week’s game proves that the Browns always have a chance with Winston under center.

The Broncos’ pass defense still ranks ninth in the league, but they’re starting to show blemishes. They’re allowing 239.7 passing yards per game over their past three contests, and Winston has thrown for at least 219 yards in every game he’s started this season.

The Broncos have a clear advantage on the offensive side of the ball, especially with how Nix is playing. However, despite Nix’s recent success, the Broncos didn’t dominate last week’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, as the final score might suggest. The Raiders had the ball on the one-yard line with seconds remaining and a chance to sneak away with a backdoor cover.

This is a lot of points for the Broncos to be giving against an unpredictable team.

Moneyline

  • Broncos best odds: -230 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 69.70%
  • Browns best odds: +205 via Caesars | Implied probability: 32.79%

DraftKings is offering the best price for the Broncos by a wide margin. Three of our best sports betting apps have the price set at -250, while FanDuel set it at -240.

With how much support the public has shown the Broncos, I expect the DraftKings’ price to eventually catch up to the others. As for the Browns, both Caesars and bet365 have the price set at +205.

Given how this spread is likely to move, the underdogs will fetch a better price later this week.

Spread

  • Broncos best odds: -5.5 (-110) via BetMGM
  • Browns best odds: +5.5 (-105) via bet365

Our sites with the best sportsbook promos have this spread set at 5.5.

While most major sportsbooks have the price listed at -110 for both teams, bet365 is offering -105 for the Browns. The Broncos are currently seeing overwhelming support, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see this number jump to six or 6.5 before long.

If the spread doesn’t move, that’s an indicator that oddsmakers feel great about the Browns in this game. But, no matter how much the public supports the Broncos, I don’t expect this number to ever hit the key number of seven.

Over/Under

  • Over best odds: 41.5 (-110) via BetMGM
  • Under best odds: 42 (-110) via bet365

The Broncos’ third-ranked scoring defense isn’t enough to keep the public from backing the Over in this game. Nearly two-thirds of bettors are predicting that this game will go over 41.5 points, and because of that, the total has already jumped to 42 at bet365.

The teams in Broncos’ games have combined for at least 42 points in five of their last six. Since Winston has taken over as the Browns’ quarterback, three of their four games have cleared this number, including last week’s snowy contest. I think this number will continue to increase, eventually settling around 43.
