SGP predictions for Bears vs. Lions: NFL Thanksgiving

Our NEW NFL player prop odds tool can help you find the best odds on any market across legal sportsbooks in your area!

Lions -9.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

As Mike Spector laid out in his Bears vs. Lions prediction, this is a clear mismatch on paper between two teams trending in the opposite direction.

Detroit leads the league in net EPA/play (+0.30) while outscoring teams by 19.4 points per game across its active nine-game win streak. That includes three wins by at least 38 points against teams with losing records, a streak that ended last week with a "disappointing" 18-point win over the Indianapolis Colts (5-7).

Chicago is a tick better than Indy on a per-play basis, and its defense has been a top-10 unit this year. But the Bears rank 22nd in offensive efficiency and scored just 16 points through the first 59:30 last week before garbage time turned into the witching hour.

A pair of close losses to the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings look nice on paper, but both came at Soldier Field. The Bears have lost all four road games this year with their last such defeat coming by 20 points against the Arizona Cardinals.

Detroit opened as a 10.5-point favorite, but we've seen the line dip to -9.5 across all of our best sportsbooks, which makes this even more attractive to add to our parlay.

Jahmyr Gibbs Over 99.5 rushing + receiving yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gibbs has been integral to the Lions' reign over the league this season, ranking fourth in yards per carry (5.8) and success rate (57.1%) while ranking fifth in scrimmage yards per game (104.6).

The second-year star has cleared the century mark in six of his 11 games this year - including four of his last six - and he finished with exactly 99 scrimmage yards last week while recording a season high in total touches (24).

The Lions are going to let Gibbs feast on Thanksgiving, especially against a Bears defense that profiles as a top-10 unit through the air but a below-average group on the ground. If this one gets out of hand, Gibbs should be cooking at will.

Our Phil Wood is also expecting a prolific day from Gibbs as part of his Bears vs. Lions player props

Caleb Williams to throw an interception (-130) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Assuming this matchup is as lopsided as I expect, that should spell desperate times for Williams and the Bears offense in the second half. And that almost always equates to takeaways for Aaron Glenn's unit.

The Lions had picked off at least one pass in every game this season until last week, when Anthony Richardson completed just 11 of 28 attempts with two turnover-worthy plays per PFF - tied for his second-most all season.

Williams hasn't thrown a pick since Week 6, but he finished with three near-misses last week against the Vikings with his worst turnover-worthy play rate (5.3%) since Week 2, when he had two interceptions against the Houston Texans.

Meanwhile, we're backing Williams' counterpart to have a big day in comparison, as we outlined with our Jared Goff player prop bets.

As we outlined when highlighting this wager in our Caleb Williams player prop bets, you can find this prop bet with -114 odds at FanDuel, but the sportsbook doesn't let us parlay that pick with the rest.

That's why I'm turning to bet365, which is offering +375 on this parlay compared to +325 odds or worse across the rest of our best NFL betting sites.
