Women's Wooden Award Odds 2025: JuJu Watkins Leads Hannah Hidalgo, Lauren Betts

The women's Wooden Award odds have consistently rotated between three different favorites all season, but it looks like one is finally pulling away after how dominant USC's JuJu Watkins was against UCLA.

Watkins is minus money at our March Madness betting sites to take home the award, and she's steadily pulling away from Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo and UCLA's Lauren Betts on the oddsboard.

This is clearly a three-player race, but has Watkins done enough already to lock up the award?

Wooden Award odds from our best sports betting apps.

  • JuJu Watkins: Trading as the third-favorite (+240) not long ago, Watkins' 38-point, 11-rebound, five-assists performance to knock off No. 1 UCLA has put her back on top, and she keeps stacking impressive games
  • Hannah Hidalgo: Leading the No. 1 team in the latest AP Top 25 Poll, Hidalgo is a more efficient scorer than Watkins, and her Irish will likely earn a higher seed than the Trojans
  • Lauren Betts: The catalyst behind an early season upset of South Carolina, UCLA's Betts is the best frontcourt player in the country, but she's dealing with an injury that could end her shot at the Wooden Award
  • Paige Bueckers: Despite taking down South Carolina to help UConn become Women's March Madness odds co-favorites, Bueckers is a long shot to win the Wooden again

JuJu Watkins Wooden Award odds (-200)

While Clark led the nation with 31.6 points per game last year, Watkins was second with 27.1 PPG, and she's continued that stellar play into her second season at USC. The sophomore has cut back on her turnovers and is shooting the ball more efficiently this season.

Watkins has the Trojans poised to earn a top-three seed in the NCAA Tournament, and if she can win the Wooden, a $10 bet would pay a $5 profit. With how she dominated No. 1 UCLA, I have a hard time seeing Hidalgo or Betts overtaking her on the oddsboard ... and it doesn't hurt that she's the biggest name in women's hoops.

Hannah Hidalgo Wooden Award odds (+300)

Watkins vs. Hidalgo vs. Betts for the Wooden Award could end up being an all-timer. While Watkins is the bigger name and Betts plays on the better team, Hidalgo is a more dynamic scorer than Betts and a more efficient shooter than Watkins. I was surprised that Betts temporarily surpassed her on the board, to be honest.

Another feather in Hidalgo's cap is the fact that the Fighting Irish beat the Trojans by 13 earlier in the season, a game in which she put up 24 points, eight assists, and five steals. It's hard to bet against Watkins, but Hidalgo is the best player on the No. 1 team in the country, which is why she's my favorite play of the three right now, with a $10 winning bet paying a $30 profit.

Lauren Betts Wooden Award odds (+600)

Women

An upset win over the Gamecocks in November showed just how high UCLA's ceiling is with Betts at center. The 6-foot-7 junior went for 11 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, and four blocks against South Carolina, showing she's the best two-way player in the country.

Though she's not as offensively gifted as Hidalgo or Watkins, she's one of the best rebounders and rim protectors in the country. However, with the combo of Watkins putting on a show against her Bruins and the injury Betts is dealing with knocking her out for the time being, I don't think she stands a chance anymore.
