Two of the top four teams in the Big Ten meet in an important conference matchup, with the Purdue Boilermakers hosting the Wisconsin Badgers at Mackey Arena.

This is one of four games on today's slate featuring two AP-ranked teams as the No. 16 Badgers and No. 7 Boilermakers square off. Wisconsin has won three straight contests and back-to-back road games, but they're still 5.5-point road underdogs.

The Boilermakers boasted an offensive rating of 116.5 entering their game against Michigan on Tuesday, which dipped to 106.1 during road contests.

That speaks to how efficient Purdue’s offense has been at Mackey Arena, where it's averaging 87.3 points per game during a three-game home winning streak.

I walked away encouraged after Purdue’s 75-73 loss in Ann Arbor, as the Boilermakers shot 35% from 3-point range and outrebounded the Wolverines 38-34. An unfavorable whistle undid their efforts, as Michigan attempted 18 more free throws.

Purdue combines a Big Ten-leading adjusted offensive efficiency and effective field-goal percentage in league play with a pesky defense that forces turnovers at the highest rate (21.6%) in Big Ten games. 

I'm backing Purdue with two stars of confidence, as it's covered during 78.6% of its Big Ten games this year (11-3 ATS), while Wisconsin is just 3-4 ATS with a rest advantage (it's been off since last Saturday).

Trey Kaufman-Renn Under 6.5 rebounds ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Purdue’s Trey Kaufman-Renn entered the team's last game against Michigan as one of four players this century to average 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and shoot 60% or better from the field.

Kaufman-Renn has been relentless on the backboards lately, with seven-plus rebounds in three consecutive games and five of the last seven.

However, Wisconsin boasts the frontcourt to neutralize his rebounding prowess, mainly through the 7-foot Steven Crowl. The Badgers also rank 51st in the country (and fourth in league play) in lowest offensive rebounding percentage allowed.

This is a matchup of the two-most efficient offenses in conference play (and each ranks in the top 10 nationally), so there should also be fewer misses than usual to clean up.
