Stanford vs. Duke Prediction, Odds & Preview Today: Best Picks for Feb. 15

The Duke Blue Devils host a school from California for the second straight game as they welcome the Stanford Cardinal to Cameron Indoor Stadium this afternoon.
Our Stanford vs. Duke prediction and odds suggest the Cardinal will stay within this big number despite the Blue Devils’ dominance in ACC play thus far. Duke is coming off a workmanlike 78-57 victory over Cal on Wednesday, so it's no surprise to see it as 19.5-point favorite ahead of this game.
Tipoff from Durham is set for 4 p.m. ET, airing on ABC/ESPN+.

Stanford vs. Duke ATS prediction
Stanford to cover the spread: +20.5 ⭐⭐⭐
This is likely to be a contrarian play as Duke is a dominant 13-1 in ACC play this year, and it's favored to win the rest of its seven games, including five by double digits, per KenPom.
Duke failed to cover as 23.5-point home favorites against Cal, despite building a 26-point lead midway through the second half. Now the team is 3-6 against the spread in its last nine games as at least an 18-point favorite.
This game should play out similarly to the Cal contest in which Duke exerted its dominance early. However, the Blue Devils' schedule will prevent it from going full throttle for the entire 40 minutes.
While Stanford doesn't play again until next Saturday, Duke faces a quick turnaround with a road trip to Virginia on tap Monday. Thus, don't be surprised if Blue Devils head coach Jon Scheyer goes to the bench more to rest his starters’ legs.
This is a three-star play, as the Cardinal shoot an ACC-best 85.3% from the free-throw line in league play. Their turnover rate (15.6%) also ranks in the top-60 nationally, which should help navigate a tough road environment with the Cameron Crazies in full force.
The best value for Stanford backers is found at FanDuel. Despite needing to pay up slightly in juice to back the Cardinal at -115 odds, FanDuel is alone among our best sports betting sites while offering a spread of +20.5 compared to +19.5 at all its other competitors.

Maxime Reynaud to make Over 1.5 3-pointers ⭐⭐⭐
Though this game may not be the most competitive, it'll be worth the price of admission alone to see Stanford’s Maxime Reynaud do battle with Duke’s Cooper Flagg.
Clemson exposed Duke’s usually impenetrable interior defense, which ranks second nationally (42.6% allowed). The Tigers shot 63.4% inside the arc in last Saturday’s upset win.
However, Duke’s defense returned to form against Cal, holding the Golden Bears to 38.2% shooting from 2-point range.
That has me believing Stanford will utilize Reynaud’s mobility to stretch the floor and pull Duke’s bigs away from the basket.
Reynaud is in a shooting slump currently, as he's made just one of his last 15 3-point attempts over the last three games.
However, this is still a confident three-star play, as Reynaud has tallied six-plus 3-point attempts in six of his last eight games. I expect positive shooting regression from a player who has made multiple 3-pointers in 13 games this season.
FanDuel offers +290 odds for Raynaud to make three-plus 3-pointers, but backing him at plus-money odds to make at least two from beyond the arc is plenty enough value.
Best odds: +110 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 47.62%
