KU lost to Kansas State last weekend, marking its second straight road defeat, and the school moved to 3-5 away from home. But the Jayhawks are still the 6.5-point favorites against a Utah team that's dropped consecutive contests.

There's a chance that a +7 will become available before tipoff, but I’m backing Utah at +6.5 or better. The Jayhawks have struggled away from home when they take a bus to Manhattan to face their in-state rival, so their first trip to Utah is an easy fade spot.
Kansas is 3-5 against the spread as an away team, losing outright five times. The Jayhawks haven’t won a road game since Jan. 22.
Utah performs better at home, posting a 9-6 against the spread clip in Huntsman Center. This will be the Utes’ first home game in 10 days, so I expect the crowd to be fired up for when the Jayhawks come to town.
There's no reason the Jayhawks should be laying this many points away from Allen Fieldhouse until Kansas proves it can handle a road environment.

Kansas has let Zeke Mayo initiate more of the offense recently, particularly because opponents tend to go under on a screen against Dajuan Harris Jr.
