The Kansas Jayhawks (15-6, 6-4 Big 12) should have plenty of motivation when they host the Iowa State Cyclones (17-4, 7-3) at 9 p.m. ET on Monday in Allen Fieldhouse.

The Jayhawks are 2.5-point favorites, but our Iowa State vs. Kansas prediction and odds have questions about that ahead of this ESPN battle.

Iowa State vs. Kansas ATS prediction

Iowa State to cover the spread: +3 ⭐⭐⭐

In recent years, Allen Fieldhouse has covered up some flaws for Kansas, but I’m not sure that’s the case this season.

The Jayhawks had an epic meltdown in their 92-86 home loss to the Houston Cougars on Jan. 25. They have failed to cover the spread in three straight contests and haven’t covered the number at home since Jan. 8.

It would be easy to expect an inspired effort from KU after it led by as many as 21 in its 81-70 loss to Baylor on Saturday, but Iowa State is also coming off a shocking defeat. The Cyclones suffered a 19-point loss as 14.5-point favorites to the Kansas State Wildcats.

I’m willing to take the points with the better team, particularly considering how lopsided the first head-to-head meeting in Ames was.

Dajuan Harris Jr. Under 9.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kansas point guard Dajuan Harris Jr. isn’t much of a threat as a scorer. He’s averaging 9.8 points per game and has only cleared this scoring prop twice in his past seven outings.

In the previous matchup against Iowa State, Harris scored eight points on 3-for-6 shooting. He hasn’t attempted more than nine shots in a game since Jan. 5.

Harris’ points prop is an easy fade for me when the best prop betting sites offer plus-money odds for the Under. A $10 bet would net a $10.50 profit.
