๐Ÿ€ No. 1 Auburn vs. No. 1 Florida (6:09 PM ET)

Two months ago, Florida upset then-No. 1 ranked Auburn in a 90-81 shoot-out to hand the Tigers their first home defeat of the season and one of just two such losses all year.

The Gators have only fallen once since then - a five-point road loss at Georgia on Feb. 25 - and knocked off two top-10 teams by KenPom in the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight to reach this point. Meanwhile, Auburn hasn't looked right in over a month, and superstar big man Johni Broome is battling an injury that knocked him out of the Elite Eight.

All of that is baked into the latest March Madness odds, which have Florida favored by 2.5 points over its SEC rival. I don't think that line goes far enough given the recent form of these two teams and how it played out the last time they faced off. If the Tigers don't have an answer for red-hot guard Walter Clayton Jr., their season will end on Saturday night.

๐Ÿ€ No. 1 Duke vs. No. 1 Houston (8:49 PM ET)

Forget about Houston for a second: can anyone in the country beat this Duke team when its future NBA stars are all clicking like they have been in this tournament?

Cooper Flagg might be the best player college basketball has seen in a decade (or longer), and he's surrounded by four other stars who all rank among the best players in March Madness. It's no wonder the Blue Devils boast the second-highest efficiency rating in the KenPom era (since 1997) after winning their first four NCAA Tournament games by 23.5 points on average.

Houston's top-ranked defense should pose a meaningful challenge to Jon Scheyer's group, but I have my doubts that this one will still be close by the final buzzer.

๐Ÿ† NCAA Tournament national championship odds, expert picks & predictions

While we're still awaiting the exact matchup for the national championship, we can use the March Madness look-ahead odds to get a sense of what the betting lines might be for a hypothetical matchup between favorites Duke and Florida on Monday:

๐Ÿ€ No. 1 Duke vs. No. 1 Florida (8:50 PM ET)

We can only hope and pray that this matchup comes to fruition ahead of what should be an all-time classic semifinals in San Antonio.

To be clear: Duke is the creme de la creme in this tournament, and I still think the Blue Devils can start preordering ladders and scissors for Monday night. But Florida was the hottest team coming into this tournament and has lived up to the billing behind Clayton, who has put on a scoring clinic in March to etch his name in tournament lore.

These are the two most talented rosters left in the field, and the Gators are the only group with the offensive firepower to hang with Duke for 40 minutes. But their defense doesn't quite feature the elite length that you'd hope for to hold down the NBA-lite team on the other side.

It's worth tuning in on Monday because you never know what might happen under the bright lights of the NCAA Tournament. But it's worth wagering on Duke while you're at it.
