Feast week is in full swing, and our college basketball best bets for Tuesday set the stage for an incredible day of hoops.

In addition to the Maui Invitational, Tuesday’s slate features several marquee non-conference showdowns involving March Madness odds contenders.

Our Duke vs. Kansas prediction will be the main event, but matchups between Alabama-Houston, Oregon-Texas A&M, Notre Dame-Rutgers, and Creighton-San Diego State are worth our attention.

Let’s dig in, shall we?

Freshman guard Labaron Philon has burst onto the scene for No. 9 Alabama (4-1), averaging 12.8 points and 5.2 assists per game. His assist rate (33.2%) ranks 74th in the country after he dished nine dimes against Illinois on Wednesday.

No. 6 Houston (3-1) will be a tough test in Las Vegas, as the Cougars rank second in adjusted defensive efficiency, per KenPom. But I don’t think Philon’s assist prop should be trading at 3.5 anymore, even if the Over is juiced to -175.

A more accurate line would be 4.5, so I’m taking advantage of bet365’s alternate market. This prop is playable at +105 or better as my favorite college basketball prediction for Tuesday.

KJ Adams Jr. Under 9.5 points ⭐⭐⭐

This might not be the matchup for Kansas forward KJ Adams Jr. - Duke is the biggest team in the country, ranking first in average height. The No. 11 Blue Devils (4-1) will likely play off of Adams, who isn’t much of a shooter.

As a result, I’m expecting No. 1 Kansas (5-0) to use more two-big lineups with Hunter Dickinson and Flory Bidunga along with three shooters. That could be KU’s best chance of earning an upset win as a 3.5-point underdog in Las Vegas.

Adams is averaging 8.6 points per game this season, clearing this scoring prop in two of his five outings. He’s only attempted more than six shots twice so far. I’d be surprised if Adams finishes in double figures.

Northern Arizona to cover the spread (-2) vs. Eastern Michigan ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Eastern Michigan (4-2) will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back following Monday’s 74-73 win over Houston Christian, while Northern Arizona (5-1) hasn’t played since Friday.

This game could come down to extra possessions, and taking care of the ball. The Lumberjacks are 36th in offensive rebound rate and 82nd in turnover rate, while the Eagles are 278th in turnover percentage.

I make Northern Arizona more than a possession favorite, so I’ll gladly take the -2 at Caesars when this line is as high as 2.5 at FanDuel.

Furman to cover the spread (+1) vs. Seattle ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -110 via Caesars | Implied probability: 52.38%

Furman vs. Seattle will be the second game of a doubleheader in Las Vegas, following the Duke vs. Kansas showdown. Even if you don’t want to stay up for it, I like the Paladins’ chances of staying undefeated heading into Saturday’s road trip to KU.

Furman is off to a 6-0 start, winning by at least eight points five different times. Seattle (2-3) has won back-to-back games since starting the year 0-3, including a defeat to Eastern Washington in the opener.

The market pounced on Seattle +1.5 overnight, but I disagree with that movement. Seattle’s defense ranks 352nd in effective field goal percentage, which doesn’t bode well against a Furman team that is 33rd in the country in 3-point shooting.
