Though the Aggies scored several notable wins in the non-conference slate, Texas A&M is just 1-4 against KenPom Top 25 teams since the start of SEC play, padding its record primarily against lesser opponents.

In the midst of four straight losses—outright and against the spread—Texas A&M hasn’t been competitive enough against quality opponents recently to predict that the Aggies will stay in this game until the final buzzer. Late Auburn free throws should put it out of the range of this point spread.

🔥 Johni Broome Over 10.5 rebounds ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Broome has had a couple of quieter games on the glass recently, finishing with fewer than 10 boards in consecutive contests leading into Tuesday. But on the season, he has averaged 10.8 rebounds per game, which eclipses his line at BetMGM for this matchup.

Broome has cleared 10.5 rebounds in eight of his 14 games against SEC opponents this season. Though it’s been a rarity for the stout glass-minders of Texas A&M to permit an opponent to exceed this rebounding threshold, it happened against Kentucky center Amari Williams in a game that the Aggies lost 81-69. We project a similar script for Tuesday’s matchup.

Auburn’s defensive edge stands out against a weaker A&M offense, which should produce opportunities for Broome to clean up an abnormal quantity of Aggie missed shots.

The Tigers’ comfort in that environment should lead to a healthy margin of victory as they ice it away with free throws in the waning moments.
