Marshall has been an underrated addition for the Mavericks this year, and he should continue to see an increase in minutes and usage with Doncic out.
The swing forward dropped 20 points in 30 minutes while going 3-for-5 from 3-point range at Miami on Sunday, and now he’ll face a Hawks defense that yields the most 3-pointers (16.7) at the highest percentage (39.7%) in the NBA this season.
P.J. Washington will need a lighter workload after playing 40 minutes yesterday, and veteran guard Klay Thompson could see fewer than the 31 minutes he played Sunday. At 26 years old, Marshall should be good to go on zero days rest.
He’s averaging 21.6 points per 100 possessions with a career-best 120 offensive rating, scoring at least 13 points in five of his last six appearances.

He posted his best offensive rating (142) in 10 games when playing on two days of rest last season and could have a fitness advantage against a Mavs team that is coming off two close games, including an overtime loss on Sunday.
