Our Lakers vs. Suns player prop bets tonight expect an epic showdown in this NBA Cup matchup inside the Footprint Center at 10 p.m. ET on TNT.

Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant are expected to return for the Suns (9-7), who have lost five in a row entering tonight. Meanwhile, the Lakers (10-6) should be motivated following another loss to the Denver Nuggets over the weekend.

This is already the third meeting between these two teams. Phoenix is a short favorite across our best NBA betting sites to earn a second win over Los Angeles, but the Lakers haven’t lost an in-season tournament game in the event's history.

Let me channel my Stephen A. Smith impersonation as I shout that “the Lakers stink” - or at least they do on the defensive end.

Los Angeles ranks 27th in defensive rating this season. The Lakers surrender the most fastbreak points in the league and are 28th in 2-point defensive field goal percentage.

Simply put, targeting Phoenix’s props is the way to go, and I’m betting on Durant’s assist prop in his return. I project 3.6 assists, suggesting a fair price of -211. That’s likely why the market has pushed this from as short as -113 at FanDuel to its current -138 value.

Take advantage of this bargain at bet365 for my favorite NBA player prop of the day.

LeBron James prop bet: Over 3.5 turnovers ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Readers can get +182 odds by parlaying the Over on James’ turnover prop with the Suns’ moneyline at Caesars. But I project better than a 60% chance that James commits four turnovers, so I don’t mind playing this prop as a straight wager.

If you’ve read my work recently, you know I was all over James’ assists prop as soon as D’Angelo Russell moved to the bench. The move put James on the ball more, so he now ranks third in the league with 9.1 assists per contest.

However, that has also led to more turnovers. James averages 3.8 turnovers per contest, his highest mark since 2019-20 when he was the team’s point guard. James has recorded four-plus turnovers in six straight contests, averaging 5.4 per game since Russell left the starting lineup.

I will pay the price for this prop until our best sportsbooks react to James’ turnover issues.

Anthony Davis prop bet: Under 0.5 3-pointers ⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -105 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 51.22%

I anticipate the Lakers center will do most of his damage on the interior after settling for too many jumpers in Saturday’s loss to the Nuggets. Davis finished with a season-low 14 points on 6-of-19 shooting against Denver.

Davis didn’t attempt a single 3-pointer in a win over Phoenix on Oct. 25. He missed both of his attempts from long range in a loss to the Suns a few days later. He’s averaging 0.4 triples per contest this season.

The prop market continues to be unsure about Davis’ 3-pointers, but I believe we are getting value on this Under at -112 or better.
