The red-hot Memphis Grizzlies have won three in a row and five of six as they visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday. 

The Grizzlies blew out the Anthony Davis-less Lakers 131-114 when the teams met last week, and the Lakers will look to even up the season series with Davis back in action.

James is averaging a career-low 23.2 points per game this season, but he’s been an elite facilitator. His 8.9 assists are the third-highest mark of his career, and he’s been on a roll over the Lakers’ last five games.

James has posted a triple-double in back-to-back games, and he’s dished at least 10 dimes in four of his last five. He’s reached that mark in five of 10 games on the season overall and averaged 10.2 assists across five home games.

James’ assists line is set at 8.5 with odds of -120 or shorter, and his double-double odds are -137 or shorter. Taking him to hand out just one assist more gives us much more profitable odds, and this one is a phenomenal value.

Morant has missed the Grizzlies’ last two games with a hip injury and will be sidelined indefinitely. Pippen Jr. has taken over as the Grizzlies’ starting PG in his absence, and he’s excelled.

Pippen Jr. played well before joining the starting five, averaging 22.8 PRAs across 25.5 minutes per game. In his two starts, he posted an 11/10/11 triple-double against the Washington Wizards and a 17/4/2 line against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Most impressively, his two starts have been blowout wins, and he logged only 49 total minutes. Tonight’s matchup with the Lakers should be much closer, and we can expect him to see plenty more minutes. This is an easy Over and one of the best values of the night at -102 odds.

Davis has been a beast on offense this season, averaging a career-high 31.2 points through nine games. He’s scored at least 30 points in six of those games and is poised to do so again tonight.

Davis sat out Los Angeles’ first meeting with Memphis this season, but he’s been great against the Grizzlies over the last two seasons. Dating back to 2022-23, he averaged 28.8 points across five matchups with the Grizzlies and scored at least 30 in five.
