The Cleveland Cavaliers keep finding ways to win, and with their most recent victory, they became just the fourth team in NBA history to open a season 15-0. However, they face their stiffest test yet on Tuesday.

The Boston Celtics are second in the Eastern Conference with a healthy 11-3 record, and they’ll look to hand Cleveland its first loss of the season after taking down the Cavs in a gentleman’s sweep in last season’s Eastern Conference semifinals.

Boston remains the favorite by the NBA championship odds.

Our Cavaliers vs. Celtics player props target a guard who’s been on a roll over his last three games and one of Cleveland’s twin towers who will look to exploit a vulnerable Celtics interior defense.

We’re also looking at a sharpshooter to find his rhythm against an exploitable perimeter defense when the Cavaliers and Celtics tip off at 7:00 p.m. ET (TNT) from TD Garden in Boston.

Garland has bounced back from a relatively quiet 2023-24 campaign, and he’s averaging 21.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and seven assists this season, good for 30.8 PRAs. He’s hit the Over on this line in eight of 15 matchups and is poised to keep rolling against Boston on Tuesday.

Garland has stepped it up with 34.3 PRAs across his last six appearances and 39.6 in his last three. He’s hit the Over in three straight and four of his last six.

Boston has allowed the eighth-most points per game across their last three, and the Celtics are below average in points allowed at TD Garden. This matchup is set up fantastically for Garland to excel as a scorer and facilitator once again.

Derrick White Over 16.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -111 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 52.61%

The Cavaliers have allowed the 12th-fewest points per game this season, including the 10th-fewest on the road. Cleveland’s biggest strength is its frontcourt defense, as the team has allowed the ninth-fewest points in the paint.

The Celtics can exploit Cleveland’s weakness on the perimeter, as the Cavs allow the third-highest 3-point percentage and the ninth-most made triples per contest. One Celtic in particular is worth our attention tonight, as White’s points prop is set a bit too low.

White is averaging a career-best 18.9 points and 3.8 triples this season while shooting 40.5% from beyond the arc. He’s scored at least 17 in 10 of 14 games this season, and he’s got a great matchup to do so again tonight.

Jarrett Allen Over 26.5 points + rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Allen is off to a great start this season, averaging 14.5 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, good for 27.1 PRAs. He’s hit the Over in 10 of 15 games this season, and we expect him to get it done against Boston.

The Celtics have allowed the 10th-most rebounds to opponents at home this season and the 13th-most rebounds overall. Boston has allowed the third-most points in the paint, which sets Allen up nicely to thrive as a scorer and rebounder down low.

After three straight duds, Allen has posted lines of 21/15/0 and 24/10/3 across his last two games. He should have no problem hitting the Over on this line against a Celtics frontcourt led by veteran Al Horford with razor-thin depth behind him.
