WNBA Championship Odds 2025: Liberty Favorites; Wilson Leads Caitlin Clark For MVP

The New York Liberty ended the Las Vegas Aces shot at a three-peat last year, and now the two teams are the favorites by the WNBA championship odds.
Coming off its first title in franchise history, New York sits atop the oddsboard at our best sports betting sites with Las Vegas Vegas not far behind, but the Indiana Fever loom with Caitlin Clark entering her second season in the league.
In the WNBA MVP odds race, Aces star A'ja Wilson is the favorite to win her fourth MVP and Clark is her biggest competition for the award.

WNBA championship odds favorites
Liberty (+220)

After making the WNBA Finals two year ago and losing to the Aces, Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu were finally able to bring the Big Apple its first WNBA championship. With those two making up arguably the best one-two punch in the league, the Liberty should be positioned well to repeat.
The team will also have Jonquel Jones and Betnijah Laney-Hamilton back to give them a strong third and fourth scoring option. However, these odds are quite short already - paying just a $22 profit on a $10 winning bet - especially with the Aces' recent trade to bolster their roster.

Aces (+280)
While the Aces failed to pull off a three-peat, falling to the Liberty in the semifinals, Las Vegas still has the best player on the planet in Wilson. The superstar is coming off her third MVP and has a new Robin to her Batman with the Aces' recent blockbuster trade.
Las Vegas mainstay Kelsey Plum was shipped to the Los Angeles Sparks in a three-team trade that brings Seattle Storm All-Star Jewell Loyd to Sin City. The six-time All-Star is among the league's best scorers and gives the Aces a terrifying trio alongside Wilson and Jackie Young.

Indiana Fever title odds
+750 via bet365

Without a doubt Clark lived up to her wild hype as a rookie and somehow carried this Indiana roster to the playoffs. But I don't think taking the Fever at odds this short is a smart bet given how loaded the Liberty, Aces, and Lynx are in comparison - I think betting Clark to win MVP would be the better play.
While I do see Indiana improving after going 20-20 last season, and think hiring Stephanie White as head coach was a smart move, Indiana is probably still a year or two away from competing with the top three teams. With that said, re-signing Kelsey Mitchell was a big-time move by the front office.

WNBA MVP odds favorite
A'ja Wilson (+200)

It's hard to bet against Wilson winning her fourth MVP award. The 28-year-old just had the best statistical season of her career with a career-high in both PPG (26.9, most in the league) and RPG (11.9, second-most in the league). On top of that, the Aces look ready to get back to the WNBA Finals with the addition of Loyd.
Still, Wilson could actually see a downtick in point production since less will be needed of her thanks to Loyd joining the team. I could see the combo of voter fatigue and a downtick in production hurting her chances, especially with the hype surrounding Clark ahead of her second season.

Caitlin Clark WNBA MVP odds
+250 via bet365
It was a slightly bumpy start to her rookie campaign, but Clark was dominant for the Fever down the stretch last season. The former No. 1 pick ended up leading the WNBA in 3-pointers per game (3.0), assists per game (8.4), and finished seventh in PPG (19.2).
If she takes another step forward as a sophomore under White, she should be in the thick of the MVP race this season. Clark already has narrative on her side, which goes a long way in an MVP race in any league, and she's a dominant passer with unlimited 3-point range. If she can scorer a little more frequently and cutback on the turnovers, this will be a top-notch MVP race.

How to read WNBA odds
When looking at WNBA title odds, it's important to note that the team that is "most likely" to win will have the shortest odds, i.e., the smaller number attached to their name.
For example, the Las Vegas Aces entered the season as an overwhelming favorite with odds between -105 and +110. Those -105 odds imply a 51.22% probability Las Vegas wins it all, but the +110 odds are a better value, with a $10 bet leading to a $9.09 profit.
The longer the odds are, the bigger the profit they'll return if the bet hits. For example, the Indiana Fever entered the year with +2500 odds, so a $10 bet on Indiana to win the championship would result in a $250 profit if Caitlin Clark leads the Fever to the title.
