2025 Royal Rumble men's favorites
Seth "Freakin" Rollins (-200)
Well, this came out of nowhere.
Rollins has shockingly risen to the top of the men's odds board, which is particularly strange given he isn't feuding with either current WWE champion at the moment (and hasn't been rumored for a championship program ahead of Wrestlemania 41). He's a five-time world champion, so he's no stranger to the main event picture, but this just doesn't make sense given that Rollins has been nowhere near the top of this list from the moment the odds were released.
A narrative built around a Punk, Cena or Reigns win makes a lot more sense here (though it's unlikely Reigns will return to the title picture until he has truly wrapped up his Bloodline business). Heck, even Logan Paul winning and facing Gunther is more plausible at this point. Rollins is one of the greatest wrestlers on the planet, but I'm not going anywhere near him at that price.
John Cena (-150)
This year represents a bittersweet swan song for one of the most universally beloved-but-also-reviled superstars to ever grace a WWE ring.
Cena has said that he'll be wrapping up his in-ring career by the end of 2025, and oddsmakers believe that Cena's farewell tour might very well include a shot at a title at Wrestlemania 41, set for April 19-20 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Cena, who is expected to work around 30 to 40 dates in 2025, certainly doesn't need to have a strap on the line to garner worldwide headlines, but having him add to his 16 world title reigns would be a nice added treat for wrestling fans.
I'm not convinced WWE sees a final Cena title run as absolutely necessary to wrapping up his in-ring tenure, and I'm certainly not buying shares of Cena at this price.
CM Punk (-150)
Ah, Phil. What is WWE going to do with you in 2025?
Punk burst back onto the WWE scene at Survivor Series 2023 following an acrimonious 10-year split, but a long-term injury knocked him out of action before he could really get going.
A spirited feud with Drew McIntyre upon his return provided some of the greatest highlights of the year, and there's no shortage of paths to take with Punk from here. He might no longer be the "Best in the World," but he's still very much one of wrestling's biggest attractions.
These odds make sense given that Punk's WWE return was always going to culminate with a title shot. At the moment, he's my favorite option in the top odds tier.
2025 Royal Rumble men's contender
Roman Reigns (+140)
I don't need to go too deep on why I think Reigns won't win the Rumble, since ... you know ... I kind of broke it down already.
Roman stans (and there are a lot of them) will forever gnash their teeth as long as Reigns isn't wearing some sort of strap. And I get it: After putting together the second-longest streak in history as company champion, it still looks weird for the OG Tribal Chief to make his way to the ring without at least one title in the hands of his wise man, Paul Heyman.
Reigns will get his title shot soon – and he'll almost certainly win. But everyone on the planet knows that one final Reigns-Bloodline showdown doesn't need gold plating. So don't expect Roman to win the 2025 Royal Rumble (though he'll likely be a finalist).
2025 Royal Rumble men's underdogs
Jey Uso (+1800)
OK, but only this one time.
YEET!
The more charismatic of the Uso twins has seen his star explode, enjoying a brief run as Intercontinental Champion before reuniting with brother Jimmy and Reigns to lead the OG Bloodline to a War Games victory. He is one of the hottest babyfaces in the company, and his performance in the ring and on the mic has never been stronger.
That all said ... it sure feels like we're moving back toward more Jimmy-and-Jey time, which spells bad news for Jey's singles push. And while the Usos might very well be the best WWE tag team of our generation (if not all-time), that takes all of the steam out of a potential Jey Uso Royal Rumble win.
Randy Orton (+2500)
I hear voices in my head, too – and they're telling me that Orton might be the best value option on this list.
Age is just a number to WWE, which has a long tradition of honoring its lifers and legends with late-career title runs (Randy is both). And while the 44-year-old Orton still has plenty of fire in the stove, it's fair to say that a championship campaign at this stage of his career would come as a pleasant surprise to even the most die-hard RKO fanatic.
I would love to see Orton get one more run at a major title. This is easily one of the top plays on the board, even though it has significantly less value than it did a week ago at +2800.
My Pick
This might be the best time to lean into a Royal Rumble betting pick, depending on who you think will be given the Wrestlemania 41 main event push. Odds for the true contenders will shorten as storylines crystallize, and in truth, only three or four wrestlers can truly stake a claim to being potential Rumble winners (they're usually the last ones left in the ring for a reason).
The Wrestlemania 41 title picture is just so murky right now, it's difficult to say who on the odds list should be the top betting option. What does WWE want to do with Cena's farewell tour? Are any current feuds with the reigning title holders likely to carry over beyond the Rumble? Will Triple H pivot and immediately re-insert Reigns into the title picture? So many questions.
Based on where things stand now, I'm steering clear of the top options and grabbing Randy Orton at +2500. His role in the Rhodes-Owens feud is notable here, and given his unending loyalty to the WWE brand, I'm happy to take a shot on the powers that be rewarding him with another shot at the gold.
2025 Royal Rumble women's favorites
Charlotte Flair (-200)
Are we really going to see Flair pull a John Cena circa 2008? If you don’t recall, Cena was a shocking No. 30 entrant into the Royal Rumble, returning from a three-month absence. Flair has been out considerably longer, but would it really surprise anyone for her to not only make a triumphant return at the Rumble but to win the match itself?
Oddsmakers believe it’s a legitimate possibility, and so do I. I really like this play, even at a signifcantly lower return than last week's +200 (I hope you snagged that price!)
Iyo Sky (+200)
Iyo Sky is probably the best candidate in the field to win the Royal Rumble for the first time.
She's a former WWE women's champion, has also held tag-team gold on two separate occasions, and is considered one of the top title contenders on the roster. She has only competed in one Royal Rumble in her career, but she fared well in that one, eliminating four combatants before being knocked out herself by Lynch.
Becky Lynch (+250)
Anytime The Man is entered in the women's Royal Rumble match, you can be certain that she'll be one of the favorites, if not the favorite. And that's true in the early going here, with Lynch alone atop a crowded top tier of women's candidates.
The 2019 Royal Rumble match winner is reportedly set to make her return to WWE television in the coming weeks. And there's also talk that Lynch will be debuting a new angle or gimmick to her character, which will certainly elicit strong opinions from the fan base either way.
You can never rule Lynch out of winning any match – but this price is just too low for me given just how many other strong candidates there are.
2025 Royal Rumble women's contenders
Jade Cargill (+400)
We don't know when Cargill will return, but it's worth noting that the Royal Rumble has long served as the place where injured superstars make their in-ring returns.
Cargill's impact in WWE has been mixed since she debuted to massive fanfare at last year's Royal Rumble, but there's little doubt she'll be in the championship picture in the near future. She is one of the most complete wrestlers in the company, and there's no shortage of high-profile opponents for her to work a singles program with should her union with Belair dissolve in 2025.
Alexa Bliss (+800)
Bliss remains women's wrestling royalty despite having been out of action since the 2023 Royal Rumble. She's on the board after teasing a potential return to action – and what better way to make a splash than to come back and win the Rumble match?
The three-time Raw women's champion (and first woman to have won both the Raw and Smackdown titles) has plenty of big-match experience, and will be able to ease her way back into the picture in a match like the Rumble, where wrestlers are treated to plenty of rest spots.
These odds are a little too low considering how long she has been away from the ring, and that it's no certainty she'll even participate in the match (particularly given she's currently embroiled in a contract snag with WWE that has delayed her return). But there's little doubt that a Bliss Rumble win would send the crowd into hysterics. This one might be worth a sprinkle.
2025 Royal Rumble women's underdog
Naomi (+2000)
A former member of The Funkadactyls (shout-out Broadus Clay), Naomi has carved out her own impressive path as a women's star and made history in 2017 as the first African-American wrestler to win the Smackdown women's title.
Naomi has had an impressive year, lasting an hour at the 2024 Royal Rumble in her shocking return to the WWE in January and pinning current Smackdown women's champion Nia Jax in a non-title situation before ultimately losing with the belt on the line. That feud, however, could make for a really compelling addition to the Wrestlemania 41 card, as their program was strong.
Unfortunately for Naomi, there are so many other intriguing angles the WWE can prioritize for Vegas, and generally, those who get one-off title shots in November likely aren't in the championship picture the following April. I'm passing here.
My Pick
This might honestly be one of the most difficult women's Royal Rumble matches to handicap, simply because WWE has so many great potential directions to go in with its title feuds.
That said, I can't get away from Charlotte Flair at -200. It sounds like she intends to return for the Road to Wrestlemania, and while it's entirely possible that she earns her Wrestlemania 41 title shot at Elimination Chamber after working off some ring rust, the WWE loves going back to ideas that work – and Cena's incredible (and unexpected) 2008 return and win is still one of the greatest moments in Royal Rumble history.
It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Flair get the same treatment in Indianapolis.
How to bet on the Royal Rumble
Most United States books do not offer odds on the Royal Rumble. Overseas bettors should consult their local books for the most current odds. Betting on this event is no different than betting on a large group market, such as an outright winner for a NASCAR race or golf tournament.
Some books do offer prop markets on the Royal Rumble, such as which superstar will last the longest (also known as the match 'Ironman') or who will record the most eliminations in the match.
How do Royal Rumble odds work?
Royal Rumble odds reflect the projected winner of the 30-wrestler main event. For instance, a $10 bet on The Rock to win the Rumble at +500 will result in a $50 profit and a $60 total payout.
As the favorite for the men's Royal Rumble, John Cena's +350 odds equate to a 22.22% implied win probability, according to our odds converter.

Royal Rumble betting analysis
The Royal Rumble odds reflect the projected winner of the main event which features 30 wrestlers entering the ring at 90-second intervals. Not all of the participants have been officially announced and as the WWE is prone to unexpected plot twists, we may not ever get the full card. With that in mind, betting on this event presents unique challenges.
Books recognize the scripted nature of the sport and set the favorites accordingly. That said, there is not much value in the longer shots here unless their storyline shifts in the next few weeks. Even with the growing number of wrestlers declaring their participation, always expect a few surprises along the way. As more wrestlers join the card, expect these prices to fluctuate.
