The third time was the charm for Scottie Scheffler in his quest for the elusive FedEx Cup.

After starting the Tour Championship as the pre-tournament leader - and the leader in the FedEx Cup standings - at 10-under par, Scheffler prevailed to capture 2024's season-long race.

Of course, winning six PGA Tour events prior - and the Olympic gold medal in Paris - certainly helped. Scheffler remains the far-and-away No. 1 golfer in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), and he opened as a +275 favorite to repeat by the 2025 FedEx Cup odds from our best golf betting sites.

FedEx Cup favorites 2024

Scottie Scheffler (+275)

Scheffler started the Tour Championship at 10-under par but didn't coast from there as the pre-tournament leader.

After blowing his starting strokes lead each of the past two years - to Rory McIlroy, then Viktor Hovland - at East Lake Golf Club, the World No. 1 wasn't messing around en route to claiming his seventh PGA Tour win of 2024.

Scheffler shot a 72-hole score of minus-20 to beat Collin Morikawa by four strokes and claim the $25-million season-long prize.

There's no question Scheffler should be the favorite for the 2025 FedEx Cup. However, these odds aren't likely to get much lower between now and August. Wait - and hope - that he starts the 2025 PGA Tour season slow, and then you can jump on higher odds ahead of his attempted defense of the Masters.
