So let's celebrate the changing of the season with our early 2025 Masters picks. The 2025 Masters will run from April 10-13 at Augusta National Golf Course in Augusta, Ga.
Scottie Scheffler, already a two-time Masters champion, is the consensus betting favorite across our best golf betting sites with a +400 line. But I'm looking past that with my best early picks for the year's first major.

- Scheffler (+400) owns an implied win probability of 20% to win the Masters for a third time; he had odds of +1600 and +500 prior to Round 1 of his first two victories at ANGC
- McIlroy (+1000) continues his quest for the elusive career grand slam; we're likely to see these odds for the public favorite shorten prior to April
- Rahm (+1300) has the lowest odds of any golfer from the LIV Golf Invitational Series; he won the Masters two years ago
- Tiger Woods (+20000) has an implied win probability of 0.50%; he finished 60th in last year's Masters

Almost every year, Morikawa's Masters odds present the best value on the outright oddsboard.
The two-time major champion hasn't finished worse than T-44 in his five appearances in the Masters, and that was in his debut. He's recorded three straight top-10 finishes with a career-best T-3 last year. He's still fourth in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), so I truly don't know why he's sixth by the early Masters odds.

Masters contender pick: Shane Lowry
Best odds: +7500 via Caesars | Implied probability: 1.32%
Lowry made the cut in six straight appearances at Augusta National with a best finish of T-3 three years ago. The former Champion Golfer of the Year returns to Royal Portrush this summer, and he's 18th in the OWGR two months ahead of the Masters.
Lowry recently spoke to the media following a close runner-up finish in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and made it clear the green jacket is one of his goals for the year. These odds are far too high for his pedigree, course history, and current form.
Masters longshot pick: Nick Taylor
Best odds: +20000 via Caesars | Implied probability: 0.50%
Taylor certainly doesn't have the historical success at Augusta National that the two picks above have. Last year was his first invitation to the Masters in four years and he missed the cut.
But +20000 for the No. 29 golfer in the OWGR, who already has a win this season? Tiger Woods also has +20000 odds to win the Masters. Who would you rather?
Taylor's one of the best - and most clutch - putters in golf. He often plays his best in the biggest moments and three of his five career victories came in the last year-and-a-half.
