After a week of practice in front of NFL decision-makers and media members, the prospects participating in the Senior Bowl finally get to enjoy some game action on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET (NFL Network) from Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

With one side of the matchup featuring two quarterbacks who are among the 2025 NFL Draft odds contenders to go off the board No. 1, our Senior Bowl preview, prediction, and odds give the edge to an American team that's a 2.5-point favorite.

The three days of practice at the Senior Bowl often don't give quarterbacks a chance to truly shine, with much of the focus being put toward one-on-one matchups between offensive linemen and defensive linemen, and pass catchers and defensive backs.

However, the game has historically been a setting in which the more talented quarterbacks are able to stand out. Recent MVPs of the game include Spencer Rattler, Justin Herbert, Daniel Jones, and Dak Prescott. In fact, the MVP Award has gone to a QB in eight of the last nine Senior Bowls.

So while no quarterbacks truly produced a magnificent week in Mobile, the American roster does hold an edge because it features Alabama's Jalen Milroe and Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart, in addition to Notre Dame's Riley Leonard and Memphis' Seth Henigan.

Milroe is the best QB in terms of arm talent and mobility, and he would be my bet for MVP of the game this year. Meanwhile, Dart is the QB many major media members are touting as a potential riser.

On the other side, the National roster features Lousiville's Tyler Shough, who I thought put together the best week of practice, along with Oregon's Dillon Gabriel and Laurier's Taylor Elgersma. Gabriel put up arguably the worst week of any of the QBs, and while Elgersma certainly fit in and showed off his arm talent, he's still making the transition from the Canadian game.

SEC linemen, small school stars, and the best receiver in Mobile

Giving the American roster even more of a bump is its SEC talent in the trenches. LSU offensive linemen Miles Frazier and Emery Jones both produced dominant weeks, and Ole Miss pass rusher Princely Umanmielen is among the most talented defenders in the game.

That's not all, as several small school players such as Western Kentucky's Upton Stout and Sacramento State's Jackson Slater strung together huge weeks too. The American team feature TCU's Jack Bech too, who had the best week of any receiver.

So if they can lead the American team to a three-plus-point win, a $10 bet pays a $9.09 profit.

Senior Bowl Over/Under prediction

Under 42.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -110 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 52.38%

Just like I detailed in our East-West Shrine Bowl preview, these all-star games rarely reach shootout territory. The players are learning a tapered-down system across just three days of practice, and the QBs lack familiarity with the receivers, leading to poor timing. That's what makes this game total being so high such a head-scratcher.

Each of the last three Senior Bowls has gone Under 42.5 points, with an average of just 30 total points. The lack of star power at quarterback will only help that trend continue, and the current senior receiver group isn't overly inspiring.

There's also more defensive talent in Mobile, too, with both secondaries boasting players who put together phenomenal weeks, including Stout, Oklahoma's Billy Bowman, and Louisville's Quincy Riley. The D-lines are also the most loaded position group there. I love the Under.
