After dropping their second Big 12 game of the season, the Colorado Buffaloes will look to keep their Big 12 Championship odds alive against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Our Oklahoma State vs. Colorado early leans and picks show the Buffaloes are one of the bigger favorites we've identified with our college football Week 14 predictions. However, the public is currently backing the Cowboys to cover a huge spread.

The Buffaloes are coming off a loss to the Kansas Jayhawks in which they gave up 333 rushing yards, as not even Heisman Trophy odds favorite Travis Hunter could save the day. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have lost eight consecutive games.

Will the Buffaloes cruise to victory, or could the Cowboys, who have yet to win a Big 12 game, show some fight Friday in the noon ET (ABC) season finale from Folsom Field?

The high-powered Buffaloes offense gets to end its season against one of the worst defenses in all of college football.

The Cowboys are allowing 35.5 points per game, which ranks 118th in the country. They’re allowing 45.3 points per contest over their last three, and they’ve given up at least 38 points in seven consecutive games.

Despite just 21 points last week, the Buffaloes still rank 26th in the nation in points scored per game, averaging 33.1. Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and Co. have scored at least 34 points in all of their Big 12 wins this season, and they’ve topped 40 three times.

Whether this Over hits will ultimately come down to the Cowboys’ offense. Though this has been a disastrous season for them, the Cowboys are still averaging 28.2 points per game.

The Buffaloes are allowing only 23.8, but even if the Cowboys are held to 24 points in this game, Colorado will do enough offensively to secure this Over.

Moneyline

  • Colorado best odds: -780 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 88.64%
  • Oklahoma State best odds: +550 via BetMGM | Implied probability: 15.38%

Unless you’re very confident in the Cowboys pulling the upset in this game, there’s no benefit to taking the moneyline for either of these teams. The Buffaloes are massive favorites, so even adding their moneyline to a parlay won’t do much to increase your odds. If you want to take the upset, four of our best sports betting sites are offering a price of +550.

Spread

  • Colorado best odds: -16.5 (-110) via BetMGM
  • Oklahoma State best odds: +16.5 (-110) via BetMGM

The Buffaloes are favored by 16.5 at all of the best sports betting apps.

Despite the Buffaloes' domination for most of the season, bettors are backing the Cowboys to cover the large spread. To me, this initial support feels like an overreaction to the Buffaloes' performance last week against the Jayhawks.

Though the Buffaloes struggled to do much against a team they probably should have beaten, the talent disparity between the Jayhawks and Oklahoma State is massive. Plus, the Cowboys have lost four Big 12 games by at least 22 points, and the Buffaloes have won three by at least 25. Look for the public to come around on the Buffaloes, as the spread stays put.

Over/Under

  • Over best odds: 64.5 (-110) via BetMGM
  • Under best odds: 64.5 (-108) via FanDuel

If you want to get in on the Over, get in as soon as possible, as 58% of bettors are backing that side early.

Though the total hasn’t moved yet, it’s just a matter of time before that type of support leads to this number increasing. Because of how both of these teams play, it’s worth playing this up to nearly 70 points, so you’re not in danger of hitting a number that’s too high to take.

However, it’s still best to get in at the lowest number possible when it’s obvious how things are going to move.
