NC State vs. Georgia Tech touchdown pick

Haynes King anytime touchdown scorer (-220) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

King is the most consistent scorer with the shortest odds in this contest. He and Jamal Haynes (-330) have scored in every game this season except for three, which explains their heavily juiced anytime touchdown scorer props.

Throughout the season, King has shown that he’s the perfect quarterback to lead Brent Key’s offense. He’s personified efficiency with 16 total touchdowns to just one interception. Seven of those scores came on the ground, which means he’s finding the end zone with his legs in 62.5% of games he starts.

This clip is from last season, but he has some real wheels:

FanDuel offers the best odds on the market for King as an anytime touchdown scorer at -220. While it’s a steep price to pay, it’s likely the safest touchdown bet for this game. Georgia Tech’s offense runs through King, who averages more than 10 carries per contest, so he’ll have plenty of chances to scramble in for a touchdown.

Best odds: -220 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 68.75%

Best NC State vs. Georgia Tech prop bets

C.J. Bailey Over 218.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bailey’s stats may not jump off the page, but he’s done a phenomenal job for a true freshman quarterback this season. He’s grown into the starting role following Grayson McCall’s injury and subsequent retirement, as shown by his stats. Bailey has thrown for 225 or more yards in four of his last five games. He’s also tallied 10 touchdowns and three interceptions in that span.

Georgia Tech’s defense ranks 37th in the country, and it’s been one of the biggest surprises of the season in the ACC. However, if it has one weakness, it’s the secondary. The Yellow Jackets surrender 226.5 yards per game through the air. This tally puts them joint-77th with Eastern Michigan in terms of passing yards allowed nationwide.

NC State is a hefty road underdog, which means the Wolfpack will likely be trailing for much of this game. Bailey will be allowed to sling the rock and rack up passing yards, so I feel comfortable that he’ll surpass his 218.5-yard total.

Best odds: -114 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.27%

Malik Rutherford Under 58.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐

Rutherford is Georgia Tech’s leading receiver this season. The Yellow Jackets are a much more run-oriented offense, though, which means his stats aren’t jaw-dropping in the slightest (54 receptions for 622 yards).

His receiving yardage prop for the midweek showdown against NC State is set at 58.5, which is a total he’s failed to reach in each of his last four games. In fact, he’s surpassed this line only four times during his junior campaign. FanDuel’s odds carry an implied probability of 53.27%, and considering he’s gone under this total 60% of the time, there’s value in this Thursday night play.

Best odds: -114 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.27%
