Even though the Green Wave have clinched a spot in the AAC Championship, their College Football Playoff odds hang in the balance ahead of Thursday's critical clash with Memphis.

Memphis vs. Tulane anytime TD odds & touchdown pick

Makhi Hughes 2+ touchdowns (-105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ashton Jeanty’s Heisman Trophy odds push has prevented Hughes from becoming a household name among college football fans. However, Hughes is one of the best running backs in the country - never mind the non-power conferences.

He’s been pivotal to Tulane’s success this season with 1,419 total yards and 17 total touchdowns. As a result, Hughes is unplayable as an anytime touchdown scorer with heavily juiced odds, regardless of where you look.

FanDuel has the best odds for the star running back at -470. Thus, we recommend pivoting to his multi-touchdown market.

Hughes has scored two touchdowns in six of the Green Wave’s 11 games this season. That's good for a 54.55% clip, while these -105 odds via DraftKings carry a 51.22% implied probability while turning a $10 bet into a $9.52 profit.

Best odds: -105 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 51.22%

Best Memphis vs. Tulane prop bets

Makhi Hughes Under 121.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

While Hughes has posted six multi-touchdown games this year, he’s only cleared this rushing yards total five times. Three of those instances came in the last five games, which explains why his rushing prop is so high heading into an all-important showdown to end the regular season.

Don’t let the 14-point spread on this contest fool you; Memphis can hang with the best teams in the conference. This is largely because of the Tigers’ excellent 18th-rated rush defense in the nation, as they surrender just 108.2 yards per game on the ground.

These totals are similar to Oklahoma and Kansas State - who rank 15th and 19th, respectively - both of which Tulane played earlier in the year. Hughes rushed for 128 yards against the Wildcats and 71 against the Sooners; this should make bettors wary about backing him to go Over such a high total on Thursday.

Best odds: -114 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.27%

Seth Henigan 225+ passing yards (-120) ⭐⭐⭐

Henigan is an anomaly. The Memphis quarterback leads the nation’s 24th-rated passing attack (273.1 YPG), but aside from a three-week span in September, he’s failed to record back-to-back games with at least 225 passing yards.

Henigan threw for 299 yards against UAB in his last outing, so trends tell us to fade him in this spot. However, we’re throwing all of that out the window, as this is the best passing offense Tulane has faced since it allowed North Texas quarterback Chandler Morris to torch its defense for 449 yards through the air.

All Henigan has to do to cash this prop is throw for half of that total. Memphis’ signal-caller has cleared this total in seven games this year, so DraftKings offering -120 odds for him to do that again Thursday feels generous enough to play it.

Best odds: -120 via DraftKings | Implied probability: 54.55%
