FanDuel, one of our best sports betting apps, has revealed that half of its customers—approximately 3.5 million—used its My Spend gaming dashboard during the 2024/2025 NFL season.

My Spend's personalized gaming dashboard provides FanDuel’s users with up-to-date insights into their spending, deposit, and wagering activity while also utilizing FanDuel’s existing suite of gaming tools, deposit and wager limits. The responsible gaming tool was introduced in December with a coinciding advertising campaign for the NFL playoffs. The campaign encompassed various forms of media, including broadcast television and social media.

According to consumer tests conducted by FanDuel, three out of four customers who saw the advertising campaign agreed with it, believing tools such as My Spend to be a valuable resource for players. You don't need a FanDuel promo code to sign up and take advantage of the tool.

FanDuel looks positively on the reported numbers, as the growing engagement with My Spend shows that customers are interested in insight into their habits and activities and in tools that can help them manage their time and spending.

FanDuel launches deposit alerts

With the success of My Spend, FanDuel has also introduced Deposit Alerts. Deposit Alerts is a tool that allows customers to create daily, weekly, and monthly target budgets. When they reach the amount they have set, they receive a notification.

“We want our customers to know what they are spending and ensure they are within their comfort zone. Since the launch of My Spend, we’ve seen a meaningful rise in engagement with tools that give our customers the ability to create a personalized plan to manage their play,” said Jill Watkins, Senior Commercial Director of Responsible Gaming at FanDuel.

“We’re encouraged by the progress and remain steadfast in our commitment to making responsible play a natural part of the FanDuel experience for all customers,” Watkins added.

Technology advancements

FanDuel has also stated that it endeavors to set a high standard for consumer protection. To support this endeavor, It is considering expanding the tool case its customers can use.

In 2025, FanDuel is looking to advance its technology to identify at-risk behavior among its customers, which would allow it to offer early intervention. FanDuel hopes this will allow the company to create a sustainable industry within regulated markets.

Additionally, the company had expanded its sports betting integration with Comcast through Xfinity Odds Zone.

In addition to expanding its technological influence, FanDuel has also expanded its global reach after launching in Puerto Rico on January 16. Puerto Rican residents over 18 can wager on the FanDuel sportsbook. The launch in Puerto Rico was part of FanDuel’s retail partnership with CAGE Sports, and a retail sportsbook is set to open in San Juan.
